Origins, charming hotel and suites in Auvergne with views of the volcanoes

An ideal starting point to recharge your batteries and explore Auvergne

At Origines, our charming rooms offer a timeless interlude in an exceptional landscape overlooking the volcano. Modern and elegant, these 11 cocoons invite you to recharge your batteries and contemplate a panorama that changes with the seasons.

Panoramic rooms

The 6 30 m2 rooms beneath the restaurant are true cocoons of rejuvenation, with natural materials ranging from volcanic stone to rough oak. All feature king-size beds (180 cm), a terrace overlooking the medieval castle or a panoramic view of the Auvergne mountains, and a large walk-in shower that also offers this exceptional view.

The rooms are named after symbols of the Auvergne region that are important to Origines and its chef Adrien Descouls. These include Sancy, Amethyst, Gentian, Nugère (like the puy from which Volvic water flows) and Andésite, a volcanic rock widespread in Auvergne. And let's not forget the Sapwood, the part of the tree that grows every year between the wood and the bark. An image of slow, poetic evolution directly linked to the essence of Origines and its tree-of-life logo with deep roots.

The peasant breakfast

A true tribute to the Auvergne region, the peasant breakfast offered at Origines places the terroir at the heart of the experience. A true moment of sharing and conviviality at a table that embraces the region's humble, authentic peasant soul. Well-aged local ham, traditional country pâté, dry-cured sausage, white ham and smoked trout from the Cézallier combine with bread toasts topped with homemade seasonal jams produced by Madame Ducros, next door in the village of Le Broc.

All these local craftsmanship treasures are complemented by the famous brioche aux pralines, homemade cakes, Auvergne honey, farm yoghurts from the Combrailles region and farm-fresh Auvergne eggs concocted to your taste. Other options include homemade granola and a matcha, mango, oat and goji berry smoothie bowl.

Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:00am in the dining room, or from 7:30am to 11:00am in your room.

Bread as a symbol

In keeping with his desire to promote Auvergne's traditions and art of living, the chef invites his guests to start with the bread, baked and prepared by baker Olivier Pélisse, 15 minutes from Le Broc. Two breads to break, according to the customs of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, which passes just a few meters from the restaurant: a sports bread and a traditional sourdough baguette, as well as a palm tree to share. A pure moment of happiness in homage to the Auvergnat.
